About this site
One clear job: help side sleepers find a pillow that keeps their neck straight, using evidence rather than hype.

Kevin, Founder & Lead Researcher
Kevin started this site to cut through pillow marketing. Each guide compiles lab tests, editorial reviews, sleep-science studies and hundreds of owner comments into plain-English recommendations, with every source cited.
What we do, and what we don't
We are a research site, not a testing lab. We haven't slept on every pillow listed here. Each recommendation combines four kinds of evidence: peer-reviewed sleep and spine research, published hands-on tests from outlets such as Sleep Foundation, Sleepopolis and CNN Underscored, manufacturer specs, and a coded analysis of public owner discussions. Our methodology explains how these become a score.
If we ever test pillows ourselves, those results will be clearly labeled as first-hand. We'll never describe research as personal testing.
Medical information
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Pillows can help comfort and alignment, but the clinical evidence that any pillow treats neck or shoulder conditions is limited, and we say so where it matters. Numbness, weakness, pain after an injury, or pain that lasts more than a few weeks needs a clinician.
Editorial independence
We earn commissions through Amazon links (see our disclosure). Commissions never affect rankings, and brands can't buy placement.
Corrections & updates
We re-check product availability and our sources regularly, and every page shows the date it was last updated. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll correct it and note the change.
